Our 4-year-old

Miss E is officially 4!  I can’t believe how big she is getting and how much she is learning everyday.  In many ways, she is very independent and always working on something new.

I love to watch her creativity!  She loves making “contraptions” out of many things, seeing how many toys she can hang together or what she can do with a funnel and a faucet.

 

She loves little things.  She has a plastic container filled with her “treasures” that she loves to get into and to organize and sort.  For her birthday, she received some calico critters, which she loves because of their little pieces.  She also loves Toy Story, anything pink, fun straws, balloons, stickers, and sticks.

She also loves maps and she and her daddy spend a lot of time looking at maps together or flying on google earth.  She has learned her letter sounds and is working on making those sounds into words and learning to read.  She loves to write her name and “write” letters to her family.  Her vocabulary continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and I am always in awe at the things she says.  And she can officially count to 30!

She’s still a busy girl, always on the move doing something else.  Being a big sister ranks at the top of all good things right now.  Sometimes her independence clashes with her desire to be good, but she is learning and loves her sticker chart, which reminds her to be obedient.

We love having Miss E around.  She is such a wonderful and caring little girl.  She keeps me busy and on my toes, as I never know quite what will happen next, but that’s really a lot of what motherhood is all about anyway.
